Jaipur is going to be first city in India having most ultramodern metro roots. It will cover more than 100 kilometers’ path after completion and will be completed in several phases.
In first phase Jaipur Metro will connect some of the busiest traffic points of the city. It will start right from Chandpole, heart of the city and will go to Bhankrota, another corner of the city. It will travel through Ajmer Road and New Sanganer Road covering Government Hostel, Gandhi Nagar Railway Station, Civil Lines, Sodala, New Sanganer Road complete, Mansarovar, Ajmer Road Bypass and more.
In second phase, metro will start to cover inner city and third phase will cover Tonk Road to Sitapura and more. In outer city Jaipur Metro track is infrastructure on the ground in various floors while in city it will go underground completely. Metro station work has also begun and Chanpole station will be first in the series. It will connect underground track and on road track at the point.
As its inauguration is scheduled to done in first quarter of 2013, more than 65 percent work has done and remaining is in progress.
