Raksha bandhan is near. Festival craze can be seen here and there. It is a holy tradition to celebrate relationship of brother and
sister for ancient times. It was started to create storng bonding
between the brothers and sisters.
On Rakshabandhan (a.k.a. Rakhi), sisters bind cotton thread (usually
decorated with fancy items) on their brother’s right arm. In return
brothers make promise to save them in every condition. Later both
exchange sweets and gifts to each other with good wishes for future.
Usually this festival falls in the month of July-August and represents
family bonding in society. It is celebrated with full enthusiasm in
the whole country and Hindu community across the globe. So let’s join
